Along the journey, don’t miss the chance to explore Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibetan border, and Kibber, perched atop rugged cliffs with ancient monasteries dotting the landscape. Daredevils can test their nerve on the spine-tingling Chicham Bridge, suspended between towering cliffs. A visit to the enchanting Chandratal Lake, with its crystalline waters mirroring the surrounding peaks, offers a serene interlude before the final leg of the journey to the bustling town of Manali. Each stop along this epic road trip unveils the raw beauty and cultural richness of the Spiti region, leaving indelible memories of a truly unforgettable adventure.

      DAY 1 - Chandigarh to Narkanda
      Wishing bon voyage as the vivid journey starts with the first destination in Himachal, Narkanda. Lunch upon arrival where you will get to know your fellow participants even better, followed by one and half hrs of relax and refresh time. Visit to Hatu peak for breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains before sunset. Evening can be surrendered to the tone of guitar and the musical beats.
      DAY 2 - Narkanda to Sangla
      As you leave Narkanda, nestled in the Shimla district, you embark on a scenic drive that gradually unveils the beauty of the Himalayan foothills. As you ascend higher the air becomes crisper and the views more spectacular. Sangla, which is on the banks of Baspa river, welcomes travellers with its Tibetan style architecture and warm hospitality.
      DAY 3 - Sangla – Chitkul – Kalpa
      Set out to explore the last village Chitkul at India – Tibetan border. This is not just a route but a voyage through a landscape that seamlessly blends natures beauty with cultural richness. On the way will visit Rakcham which is known for its traditional Kinnauri architecture and Mathi temple at Chitkul for its intricate woodwork and unique architecture. Will Stay at Kalpa passing by the Sangla valley to feel the warmth of bon fire and music.
      DAY 4 - Kalpa to Key
      After having an early breakfast will start our journey towards Key. Will challenge our driving passion in this voyage spending some good time with our rugged machines going through the mesmerizing views and challenging terrain. Arrival at Key in the evening followed by warm hospitality, bonfire and refreshing music and cuisine.
      DAY 5 - Day Excursion to Key Gompa Monastery, Langza & Hikkim
      Will start our day with a visit to Key, also known as Key Monastery or Key Gompa, which is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery. It is a significant centre for Tibetan Buddhism and has a long history dating back to the 11th century. It holds spiritual importance for Buddhists and is a place of worship, meditation, and learning. Will spend sometime there and absorb the serenity of the environment before heading to Langza, which is a picturesque village located in the Spiti Valley of Himachal Pradesh. It is renowned for its stunning landscapes, unique geology, and a sense of tranquillity that characterizes the high-altitude villages in the region. The Buddha statue in Langza is an iconic and significant landmark in the village, contributing to the spiritual and cultural ambiance of the region. It is prominently located on a hillside overlooking the village of Langza in the Spiti Valley. It is strategically positioned, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the picturesque valley below. Thereafter we will head towards Hikkim, which has the highest post office in the world situated at an altitude of 4,572 meters (14,567 feet) above sea level. Will also visit the highest café to sip a cup of coffee/chai while soaking up the serenity of the far seen views of the Himalayas. We can post a letter from there to our close ones just to cherish the memory and experience the ways of good old days. Will get back to the site to enjoy the rest of the evening.
      DAY 6 - Day Excursion To Kaza & Kibber Village
      Kibber village, known as one of the highest inhabited villages in the world, its a short drive from Key, wander through its narrow lanes, interacting with locals and enjoy the traditional Spitian architecture. Will visit the Chicham Bridge, located in the Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh, India, and is one of the highest suspension bridges in Asia. The bridge connects the villages of Chicham and Kibber and is built at an altitude of 4,000 meters (13,123 feet) above sea level in the Himalayan region. Will head towards Kaza market as it’s a vibrant hub famous for its handicrafts, souvenirs, Tibetan and Himalayan artifacts and woollen products. Will get back to the site to feel the comfort after full day excursion.
      DAY 7 - Key to Chandratal Lake
      Will start early towards Chandratal, it’s a short but astonishing drive with picturesque sights. Once we reach the destination will settle down and head towards a short trek towards Chandratal lake which is just 1.5 kms from the base camp. The night under the million stars feels like dreamy here and a great attraction for star gazers.
      DAY 8 - Chandratal to Manali
      The journey from Chandratal to Manali is a mesmerizing experience, offering stunning vistas of the Himalayan landscape. As you traverse through the high altitude desert, the landscape transforms with every turn, barren mountains, meandering rivers and the pristine beauty. Will come across Kunzum la pass which is at an altitude of 4,590 meters (15,060 feet) above sea level. The pass is located on the eastern Kunzum Range of the Himalayas. It connects the Spiti Valley with the Lahaul Valley. Upon reaching the pass, you are rewarded with panoramic views of snow-capped peaks, glaciers, and vast mountain ranges. The air is crisp, and the landscape is a mix of rocky terrain and patches of snow, especially during the early summer months. The descent from Kunzum La towards Batal offers a different perspective, with views of lush green meadows contrasting with the rugged mountains. Batal is a small settlement and a common stop for travelers which has a small dhaba operated by an Old couple, who have saved numerous lives by providing food to the stranded people few years ago when Spiti got cut off due to heavy snowfall, hence it’s a must to stop and have a chai there to pay respects. The drive through the Rohtang pass adds to the scenic spectacle with snow capped peaks and lush greenery. Drive through the Atal tunnel will make us realise the development we have achieved as a country. All together it’s a visual feast, making the journey as captivating as the destination themselves. Upon reaching Manali, comfort awaits to relax and exchange and cherish the trip experience.
      DAY 9 - Farewell
      Reflected on the miles we have travelled, the memories we have created and the landscapes we have embraced. As the road trip concludes, here’s to the shared laughter, the unexpected turns, thrills and the beauty of the journey. It’s time to head back to your chosen destination. We part ways in Chandigarh with a promise to meet again!
